FIREFIGHTERS were called to seven separate deliberate fires on a single night yesterday (March 24).
Fire crews responded to the numerous incidents spread across Monk Bretton, Worsbrough Dale, Stairfoot, Ward Green, Worsbrough Common, Grimethorpe and Woolley.
The first Barnsley incident of the night was at Preston Way, Monk Bretton, at around 9.20pm following reports of a grass fire.
The team also attended a car fire on Wombwell Lane in Stairfoot at around 10.25pm.
Lastly, the team tackled a blaze on Bluebell Road, Woolley Colliery Village, at around 12.20am following reports of a van set alight.
