RESIDENTS aged 65 to 69 are expected to be invited to have their coronavirus vaccination in the coming weeks as the vaccine programme continues to be rolled out across the borough.

The Barnsley CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) has announced that the NHS will now be asking residents in this second age bracket to have their vaccine.

A spokesperson for the Barnsley CCG team said: ”If you are in this group, please don’t contact your GP practice.

“The NHS will contact you over the coming weeks when it’s your turn.

“The NHS will never ask for bank details to book your vaccination.”
