A SEVENTH person has been charged in connection to the murder of a 20-year-old man in Mexborough.
Stan Bentley, 22, from Bolton-upon-Dearne has been charged with assisting an offender and remains in police custody.
Lewis Williams suffered fatal injuries following a reported shooting on Wath Road in Mexborough on January 11.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Stan Bentley, 22, of Bolton-upon-Dearne in Rotherham has been charged with assisting an offender.
“Bentley will appear before Sheffield Crown Court on March 11.
“You can continue to provide information by calling 101 quoting incident number 495 of January 11.”
