CHRISTMAS may be over, but one woman is counting her pennies after raising more than £900 for the hospice with her festive-themed fundraiser.
Val Stevenson, from the town centre, handmade more than 300 knitted Christmas puddings (with a chocolate orange inside) to help raise funds for Barnsley Hospice.
Throughout her fundraising efforts, Val raised £995.35 for the charity.
Ella Beale, from the Barnsley Hospice fundraising team, said: “We are so grateful for Val, and all those involved, for their continued fundraising efforts.
“Knitting such beautiful items is never easy, but we are particularly thankful of the support throughout these challenging times.”
