A RECYCLING scheme has issued a desperate appeal for children’s clothing across the borough during the winter months.
The Clothing Bank, a scheme that helps recycle unused clothing items to those in need, launched an urgent appeal for the clothes for children across Barnsley after being inundated with requests.
A spokesperson for the scheme said: “We are inundated with people needing clothing for children, please think of it when your child has grown out of their clothes.”
Lesley Hopkinson, who collects donations for Barnsley, added: “Absolutely anybody and everyone can donate. There is no limit to the people they try to help so clothes are needed constantly.
“People can message my account on Facebook, which is linked on The Clothing Bank page, I give my address to anyone who contacts me to sort drop-offs.”
