POLICE have launched an urgent appeal for information following an altercation between two women in Penistone.
On November 16 at around 1pm, two different parties were walking their dogs on Back Lane, close to Penistone and District Bowling Club, when a fight broke out between the two women.
Police are treating this as a suspected hate crime after a man, who was also involved, received verbal abuse.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “We believe that several other people were present at the time and this incident may have been captured on video.
“If you witnessed the incident, please share the footage with us, or contact us with any information which could assist out enquiries.”
