A VOLUNTARY community group that has supported families across the borough with essential items and food have launched a desperate appeal for food.
The Dodworth Help a Neighbour Facebook group has been distributing vital boxes to families in need since the first lockdown.
Now, the team are desperate for more food donations to help provide the care needed.
Natalie Parkes, from the scheme, said: “At the moment, our priority is food.
“In a time when we all need to look out for eachother, I am once again asking the truly wonderful people of Barnsley to shine their light.
“Donations can be left outside the Red Robin Cottage in Dodworth, and I’ll make sure it’s used to help feed our local families.”
To help with the food boxes, message the ‘Honest Doderth Help a Neighbour Scheme’ page on Facebook and deliver the donations outside of the Red Robin Cottage.
