A LOCAL foodbank has launched an appeal for specific foods and items that are desperately needed to help others throughout the winter months.
Barnsley Foodbank Partnership, based in Stairfoot, will be collecting donations of essentials from various Tesco stores across the borough.
Items on the foodbank’s wishlist includes gravy granules, juice, shampoo, tinned potatoes, packet potatoes and tinned meats of pies.
These items are most needed by the foodbank, who provide urgent essentials for those who need support in the area.
A spokesperson for the Barnsley Foodbank said: “We have donation boxes at Tesco Stairfoot, Tesco Hoyland and Tesco Penistone.
