A 21-YEAR-OLD woman has been fined and cautioned after she was found riding a dangerous bike.
Samantha Harrison, of Malham Court was stopped by police on April 14 after she was found riding a scooter with no registration plates, no learner plates and no helmet.
She appeared in court on November 8 and was charged with driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, riding without insurance and failing to wear protective head gear.
She was given eight penalty points on her licence and fined more than £800.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “The machine being ridden was seized and destroyed.
“Both the initial financial impact and implications for future driving and insurance from such convictions are huge. Please don't make the mistake of thinking you won't get caught.”
