TWO Barnsley men have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 42-year-old man.

On Monday (October 12) at around 8am, a man was found at a property on Pinder Oakes Cottages, in Measborough Dike, with significant injuries.

He was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries earlier today (October 14).

On the same day (October 12), a 43-year-old arrived at Kendray Hospital with serious head injuries.

He remains in a stable condition in hospital.

A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “Two men, aged 40 and 44, were arrested at the scene on Monday and remain in police custody at this time.

“The man’s family are being supported by specialist officers.”
