A POPULAR stately home reopened its indoor spaces and museum.
Cannon Hall, Cawthorne, announced that the public will be able to visit the indoor museum while maintaining social distancing guidelines from Tuesday (September 8).
Barnsley Museums, who run the site, announced in May that the grounds to the hall would re-open but was unable to open the hall at the time due to fears of the virus.
Visitors to the museum will be required to wear a face mask, unless they are exempt, and to follow a one-way system throughout the building.
A spokesperson for Barnsley Museums said: “We have been working hard to make our galleries a safe spaces for when you arrive.
“Although it may be a little different it will still be the same warm welcome and enjoyable experience it always was.”
