A village has organised a pumpkin carving festival to help celebrate Halloween.

The pumpkin festival will take place in Royston and was organised following the success of the recent scarecrow festival.

Participants will be asked to carve a pumpkin with a unique design and a winner will be chosen by local judges.

A spokesperson for the festival said: “ Craft your pumpkin and explore the village to see other family's entries.

“We will also be holding a stamp and explore event to encourage people to visit local businesses.”

The festival will run from October 30 -31.

More information, including how to enter, can be found on the Royston Facebook Page.
