TWO sisters from Barnsley have raised a total of £2,000 for charities across the borough after selling face coverings during lockdown.

Toni Harrison, 54, of Cawthorne, and her sister, 59-year-old Zoe, have been a part of their fashion store Zeanti in Huddersfield for nearly 40 years, and during lockdown decided to sell face masks for charity – raising £1,000 for both Barnsley Hospice and Barnsley Hospital Charity.

Toni said: “We started making the masks right at the start of lockdown to keep people safe and then we’ve been raising the money ever since.

“There’s different colour face coverings to match different outfits and everyone has been brilliant supporting the cause – we’ve raised £1,000 for both charities which is absolutely fantastic.

“We’ve done fashion shows for the hospice in the past too – we’re really proud of how much money we’ve raised, we never expected to reach that much.

“It started off as something to do during lockdown but we’ve managed to raise a lot of money for two great causes which is amazing.”
