THE daughter of a local football club owner is appealing for information after her dad’s car was stolen – days after tools worth £500 were stolen.

Stephanie Goodlad has launched an online appeal to find the thieves who stole her dad’s Ford Focus early on Monday morning.

Her dad, Pete Goodlad, is the owner of Athersley Rec which was the target of a theft last week when expensive tools and equipment were stolen during the lockdown.

Stephanie, 29, said: “It seems that Ollerton Road is a hotspot for criminal activity, which is why I’ve started this appeal for information.

“My dad has been quite ill recently, people have been taking advantage of this lockdown and finding opportunities to exploit innocent people.”

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police added: “We received a report at 4.30am on June 8 of a vehicle being stolen from outside a property on Ollerton Road sometime between 1am and 4.30am.

“It seems the suspect gained entrance to the property through the back of the house and took the vehicle keys from the side.

“No other items were stolen from the property. Police are continuing with enquiries.”
