A FUNDRAISING page created to help the family of a young mum who was killed last week has surpassed its £8,000 target.

The page was created in memory of Victoria Woodhall, 31, who died last week from multiple stab wounds.

Last Sunday police were called to an address on Windsor Crescent, Middlecliffe, following reports of a disturbance and concern for safety.

Victoria was pronounced dead at the scene and a man – 40-year-old Craig Woodhall – was charged with murder and remanded into custody.

To help pay for funeral costs and to help provide for Victoria’s children, friends Kelly Sims and Donna Weatherall created a fundraising page with the intention of raising £8,000.

Within the first 48 hours, more than £7,000 was raised and today the page passed its target.

In a post on the GoFundMe page, Donna said: “I just want to thank each and every single one of you for your kind donations. Vicky’s family and friends are overwhelmed with the response, thank you so much.”
