A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after an alleged assault on a Hoyland street.A police cordon remains in place around St Helen’s Street and Cherry Tree Street after a 39-year-old woman was found injured on St Helen’s Street at around 7pm last night.The woman was taken to hospital with head and facial injuries.A police spokesman said officers remain in the area while enquiries are carried out.
