PLANNING ROUND-UP: Plans to install a four-metre-high public art column have been approved by the council.

STAFF at Barnsley Hospital forked out almost £500,000 to pay for parking last year – prompting unions to call for a ‘blanket ban’ on charges for workers.
Latest NHS England figures show Barnsley Hospital earned £1.3m from parking charges in 2023 – up from £257,000 the year before.
