POLICE believe this bike was stolen recently from the Barnsley area and are trying to find the owner.

A police spokesperson said: “We are appealing to locate the owner of a bike we believe was stolen in the early hours of Thursday from the Millhouse Green area.

“Two men were charged following a reported theft when the pair were found in possession of a mountain bike for which neither man could provide proof of ownership, and which is believed to be stolen.”

Officers want to know if this is your bike or if you recognise it and can put them in touch with its rightful owner.

“We would love to reunite them with their property so they can ride off into the sunset,” said the spokesperson.

The bicycle is a black SCOTT mountain bike. It has white rubber on the handlebars, a white fork over the front wheel, blue highlights on the frame and seat, and has a green bike lock attached.
