STAINBOROUGH Rotary Club has presented a cheque for £3,125 to the Tiny Hearts Appeal.
The money was raised during Trevor Smith's year as president of the rotary club.
He said: "I wanted to do something for our local community here in Barnsley and support a local charity with a special cause.
"The Tiny Hearts Appeal is very special and when completed the new unit will benefit local people and enhance local care at Barnsley's NHS Trust Hospital."
