A BARNSLEY Hospital porter recently took to the skies to raise funds for the hospital’s charity ... and is already preparing to do it again!

Luke Callaghan, 29, was originally supposed to be doing the skydive in April but the event was cancelled due to weather conditions.

He joined a number of others at the event at Hibaldstow to jump out of a plane at 15,000 feet.

Despite it being his first skydive, he’s already signed up to do another in September.

He said: “It was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The view was fantastic and I am so proud of myself that I went and completed it.

“I have said that if I can do it then anyone can. I have raised £1,170 for the Barnsley Hospital Charity which will help dementia patients and the hospital, too. I want to thank everyone who has taken the time to donate – it’s been one of the best experiences in my lifetime.”
