A BARNSLEY hip-hop artist has teamed up with award-winning director Guy Ritchie to feature one of her best-selling songs in his latest project.

Delilah Bon, the alter ego of local star Lauren Tate, was thrilled to see her song – I Wish A Bitch Would – played on the second episode of Netflix show The Gentlemen.

It comes after the release of her latest single and music video for Maverick, which was filmed at the Fight Team Boxing Gym in Wombwell.

The singer, whose Glastonbury show last year was highly acclaimed by music reviewers, said the single delivers a bold and empowering message.

She added: “Maverick is a song about self-worth and reclaiming your confidence, reminding yourself that you belong in the rooms you don’t always feel welcomed in.

“It’s about looking yourself in the mirror and believing in your power without needing the approval of others.”

Looking ahead, she is gearing up for an exciting year, with a new album in the works and confirmed spots at Download and The Great Escape festivals and more announcements on the horizon.

March brings her back to France for a sold-out arena tour with Shaka Ponk, following a standout live performance with the band on the iconic Taratata Live show in 2023, broadcast nationwide.
