ROADWORKS are likely to cause delays at several locations over the next few days.
Utility works in Wombwell are set to cause delays today. Temporary traffic lights will be situated on Barnsley Road for Openreach works. A notice states that delays are likely.
Delays are also likely in Shafton over the next few weeks as the council undertake road safety work. High Street, outside Shafton Primary Academy, will see 20mph signage placed outside – with traffic lights in place on the road from March 25 to April 5. Temporary traffic lights will also be in place on the same road, next to Poplar Avenue, until Friday.
Motorists are also being warned to expect delays in Barugh Green.. Temporary traffic lights have been in place on Barugh Green Road since Tuesday and will continue to be in action until Tuesday. This is due to Openreach undertaking a host of works. Delays are also likely on Claycliffe Road on March 24 when Virgin Media begin work in the area.
Temporary traffic lights will be in place in Birdwell from Saturday. From March 23 to March 31, the lights will be placed on Sheffield Road – next to Birdwell Venue.
Delays are likely as The Electricity Network Company carry out statutory work.
