BLUES singer-songwriter Sari Schorr has travelled across the pond for a new tour that will be coming to Barnsley.

Fresh off the heels of her sold-out European tour in 2023, the Brooklyn-based musician’s new UK tour will bring her to the Birdwell Venue on April 20.

Joining her for the show will be drummer Lee Morrison from British rock band Magnum and bassist Chris Cliff, as they present the only live UK performances of music from her Billboard chart-topping album ‘Joyful Sky’.

Ahead of the Barnsley show, Sari said: “I’m really looking forward to our show in Barnsley and the planets are aligning for what promises to be a very special night.

“I’m so excited to welcome Lee and Chris into the band; there’s already an exciting chemistry and the addition of ‘Joyful Sky’ songs into the set list will give fans a unique live experience that won’t be repeated after this run of spring dates.

“With Lee’s arrival, the whole band wanted to do something to pay tribute to the tremendous - and very British - music legacy of Magnum and we’ve already started rehearsing a cover of one of their great songs.

“We would also like to take a moment to thank the team at the Birdwell Centre for welcoming us to the town. The future of live music has been under threat since the pandemic and we all need to support the work of such important venues for keeping music alive.”
