A SUSPECTED fly-tipper has been charged with dumping waste by Barnsley Council.
Michael Stone, of Burton Road, Monk Bretton was charged with depositing waste without an environmental permit and the unregistered carrying of controlled waste in the course of business.
The incidents allegedly took place last year, when he is said to have dumped a sofa on Carlton Industrial Estate, and would transport waste products - namely mixed iron, mixed metals, lead, motors and household cables - for profit.
The 31-year-old will appear at Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on February 29.
