A BARNSLEY animal rescue charity is hoping that someone can give one loveable dog a foster home for Christmas.

Barnsley Animal Rescue Charity (BARC) says that 18-month-old Maisie is really struggling in kennels and has appealed for help.

“Maisie is a lovely 18-month-old friendly Dutch Shepherd crossbreed and such a sweet loveable girl once she's gained your trust.”

Maisie has already spent most of her life in kennels, arriving in BARC’s care at just eight months old through no fault of her own.

“Sadly. Maisie has been let down by potential adopters and this poor girl hasn’t had much socialisation which makes her nervous around strangers and unfamiliar surroundings. She will need an understanding, experienced, patient owner as she will need further training, guidance and confidence building,” said BARC.

Maisie can not be left for long, she’s an intelligent girl that has a lot of potential and will make a fantastic loyal companion in the right home.

Maisie requires an active home. Due to her nervous nature, she isn’t suitable to live with young children or other pets at the moment, therefore BARC is looking for a pet-free, quiet adult only home. A full secure garden is required.

If you can offer Maisie a foster home or even better her forever home please get in touch: kennels@barnsleyanimalrescue.org.uk
