A YOUNGSTER has been presented with a letter from King Charles having won an MP’s competition.

Stephanie Peacock, the MP for Barnsley East, met Amelie Croasdell from the Ellis Primary School in Hemingfield.

Amelie won the MP’s card design competition and it was sent to Buckingham Palace congratulating them on their coronation on behalf of Barnsley East.

King Charles wrote a letter of thanks to Amelie for her design and the community for their well wishes.

The MP said: “I was pleased to visit the Ellis Primary School recently to present Amelie with her letter.

“Amelie’s design was excellent, as were many of the submissions I received.

“Thank you to everyone who submitted an entry, and I am pleased that we were able to mark this historic occasion and send our congratulations on behalf of the Barnsley community.”
