A POOL team potted its way to success for Barnsley Hospital’s neonatal unit.
The team, from The Silkstone pub on Park Road, chose the facility as their cause and donated the proceeds of matches played each week, raising £600.
Jane Mills, the hospital’s charity development manager, said: “The league has been running for 45 years managed by the amazing Carol Shaw, 68, from Athersley North, who has been secretary since the start.
“It was brilliant to see the camaraderie between the teams and hand out the trophies.
“A special thanks to the fabulous team from The Silkstone.”
