PENISTONE Round Table members are driving to Vienna in fancy dress to raise money for charity.

As part of the national Skinflint Rally, eight members from the group embarked on the mammoth journey on Wednesday, in cars themed around Super Mario Bros and Jurassic Park.

The rules of the rally restrict the teams to purchase their cars for £500, and to get into the spirit the team have been dressing up early to give locals numerous sightings of Luigi, Bowser and dinosaurs leading up to the event.

The Penistone teams have an impressive goal to raise £8,000 for the Children’s Hospital Charity in Sheffield.

Jon Gilbert, from Penistone Round Table, said: “It’s an amazing charity.

“We’ve spoken to so many people locally whose families have called upon Sheffield Children’s Hospital – we know it’s such a great cause.”
