LEFTOVER school uniforms from an MP’s donation drive have been handed to the Salvation Army.

Stephanie Peacock, who represents Barnsley East, gave the items to its Goldthorpe branch last week.

The MP runs her uniform programme every year throughout the summer for parents to donate items they no longer have use for so that other families in Barnsley can benefit from the pre-loved items.

Stephanie said: “I was pleased that my exchange scheme was once again successful throughout the summer.

“I recently donated the items that have not yet been collected to the Salvation Army in Goldthorpe for their own ‘Uniform Fairy’ scheme.

“I hope that people in Barnsley can continue to benefit from the uniform that has been so kindly donated to my collection.”
