A FOOTBALL match to boost charities Mind and LimbBo raised £300 last weekend.
The match, played at Dorothy Hyman Stadium in Cudworth, saw teams from Network Plus and Berneslai Homes clash with the dual aim of raising money and awareness of mental health problems in the area.
Network Plus managed to win 7-1.
The event was organised by brothers James McLean, Andi McLean and Michael McLean who all aim to make awareness and get a positive and supportive message out there for people who need help.
Michael told The Chronicle: “The day went really, really well – around 80 people turned up, maybe more.
“Everyone enjoyed themselves and came along to give their support to these wonderful charities.”
