A MURAL to promote positivity in Goldthorpe was officially completed recently.
Barnsley Council, in partnership with local charity Project 14, decided to create the mural on the walls of the community centre to promote positivity in the area.
Jade Beever, who was one of those who helped with the artwork alongside artist Nikki Whiston, said: “We wanted to create a positive mural for young people who access the IKIC building.
“But we also wanted to do something positive for the community as a whole.
“It took us two days in partnership with Project 14 who helped fund it.”
Although the artwork has been completed, the council are still finalising a date for it to be officially unveiled.
