A BARNSLEY man has set up a free 'Belly Be Gone' programme after losing three stones through calorie counting.
Jordan Gray, 29, from Shafton, launched the free-to-attend weight loss programme for those who want to lose weight alongside his friend, Marcus James, who is a nutritionist and personal trainer.
Jordan said they will run monthly meetings which will be held at The Garrison in the town centre, with regular weigh-ins, measurements and low-calorie food ideas.
“A lot of weight loss programmes are really expensive – which is why we decided to start something like this so people can get in shape and lose some weight without having to worry about the cost,” he said.
“We will have speakers from a number of people at the sessions, from health and fitness professionals to mental health teams.
“We want as many people as possible to attend these meetings, especially those who have been on a weight loss journey themselves and know how hard it can be without having access to the right support.”
In just two days, Jordan received over 500 likes and nearly 600 followers on their Facebook page, specifically aimed at supporting those on their health journey.
The next meeting be on Saturday (April 8) at 1pm.
