A KENDRAY school is 'living proof of what can be achieved with the right focus, energy and support'.

The Forest Academy, on Thornton Road, is celebrating after receiving a coveted ‘outstanding’ rating at its latest Ofsted inspection.

The school was inspected over the course of two days last month and was given the top rating in all areas of the school, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management and early years provision.

Head of school, Katie Pierce, added: “This is tremendous news for the whole community and something we’re all incredibly proud of.

“We know we have a very special team doing extraordinary things, but to have that recognised externally by Ofsted is wonderful.

“Our school is living proof of what can be achieved with the right focus, energy and support.

“Ten years ago, things were very different for this school but the unwavering commitment and belief of school leaders and staff, combined with the support and expertise from our trust, has created an environment where every child can thrive and meet their potential.

“All children deserve an outstanding education and parents and carers can be 100 per cent confident that that’s what we offer.”
