POLICE are appealing for information after a pensioner suffered broken ribs in a robbery last month.
It’s reported that at around 4.34pm the victim, a man in his 80s, pulled up outside his garage on Garden Drive in Brampton Bierlow.
When he got out of his car, two men got in and fled in it.
A police spokesperson said: “The victim was knocked to the floor by the open car door.
“He suffered serious injuries including broken ribs.
“The car, which had been burned, was discovered on January 22 in Kendray.
“Officers have carried out extensive enquiries and are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“Anyone with information which could assist with our enquiries is asked to report it by calling 101, live chat or our online portal, quoting incident number 573 of January 21.”
