AGE UK Barnsley are offering free warm home checks for residents aged over 50 to improve energy efficiency.
A warm home check will include an initial assessment of the property, advice on how to improve energy efficiency and those carrying out the checks will provide measures such as energy saving light bulbs.
Age UK Barnsley CEO Debby Bunn said: “We know that there are many older people worried about the rising cost of energy this winter, with some facing the awful choice between heating and eating.
“We are very proud to be offering our warm homes checks to residents in need and would encourage those who are worried about their bills to get in touch.”
