INCIDENTS of antisocial behaviour dropped by five per cent across the borough in the latest three-month period.

The drastic fall, between July and September, has been linked to ‘great work’ by neighbourhood policing teams.

These teams are a central part of the borough-wide Joining Forces initiative, which sees the council and South Yorkshire Police working together to keep Barnsley safe.

A performance report, which also identifies areas where more work is needed, will be discussed at a cabinet meeting next Wednesday.
