BARNSLEY Hospital is asking residents to take part in a survey about how they can improve stroke care.

It’s part of a national programme to improve the experience of patients while in hospital and receiving community therapy.

A spokesperson for the hospital said: “Listening to stroke survivors is important.

“It helps us to understand what is working well and where improvements can be made to stroke services.

“Your answers will help to shape stroke care, treatment and therapy in the future.

“The survey is run by an independent company, under a signed agreement with NHS England in partnership with the Stroke Association.”

The survey will be posted to anyone who had a stroke between May and September this year.
