BARNSLEY Central MP Dan Jarvis visited a local primary school to chair its Pupil Parliament meeting.

He attended Worsbrough Common Primary School and gave them a bird nesting box to compliment the tree he planted there earlier in the year.

He said: “It was a pleasure to visit Worsbrough Common Primary School and meet with the children to chair their Pupil Parliament meeting.

“It was great to see the kids talking about a range of issues from how to improve their school to how to make the country a better place.

“It was a more productive gathering than many I’ve had in Westminster.

“I was also pleased to present the children with a bird nesting box and honour the promise I’d made when we planted a tree back in the spring.”
