FIREFIGHTERS from Barnsley were called to more deliberate blazes last night.

A fire crew from Penistone station arrived on Golden Smithies Lane to find a fire involving grass.

They extinguished the blaze and came away at 9.15pm.

Firefighters from Cudworth station were called to a deliberate fire in Kendray.

When the crew arrived on Yews Lane, at 8.30pm, they put out the blaze.

They left the scene at 9pm.
