BARNSLEY’S outdoor market will be launched with an action-packed week of celebration.
Having been revitalised alongside recent developments in the town centre, businesses are now in their final location under modern gazebos.
They will be officially opened next Friday at 12.30pm.
Coun Robert Frost, cabinet spokesperson for regeneration and culture, said: “It’s great to see Barnsley’s outdoor market flourishing.
“Barnsley is growing, we have a thriving and vibrant town centre and the market is at the heart of it.
“We are proud to be a market town and the fantastic new stalls will add to our already outstanding offer.
“I encourage everyone to come into the town centre and support Barnsley’s brilliant outdoor and indoor markets and remember to visit our fantastic local markets too, they also offer a great variety of products.”
