A CHEQUE worth £560 was donated to Barnsley Hospice earlier this month by a local business.
Mila Maintenance, based in Dodworth, has created the ‘Steve Frostick Making a Difference Award’ in honour of their former service engineer who died of cancer, aged 53, last November.
Steve was cared for at Barnsley Hospice during his illness and the new monthly award will work in two ways – rewarding a member of staff who goes above and beyond each month, and then celebrating every five-star review with a donation to Barnsley Hospice.
Earlier this month, corporate fundraiser Simon Atkinson was handed a cheque for £560 from Tristan Cooke, the firm’s managing director.
