BARNSLEY Hospital Foundation Trust has announced its new chair.
Sheena McDonnell has joined from Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust where she was the non-executive director.
A hospital spokesperson added: “With wide-ranging experience in both the public and private sectors, Sheena has an extensive background in leadership, organisational development, governance and transformation, holds a BSc and an MSc and is a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development.
“She has considerable experience as a Business Transformation Director for a large social housing provider, a CEO of a registered charity and as a housing inspector with the Audit Commission auditing and inspecting local authorities.
“Sheena’s skills, experience and commitment to the health of the people of Barnsley will be a huge asset to the Trust and we are all looking forward to working with her.
“Sheena is keen to get out and meet as many staff, patients, and visitors as possible over the coming weeks and we are sure you will give her a warm Barnsley welcome.”
