THE first ever Barnsley 'creativity and wellbeing week' will be hosted next month.
Barnsley Council are hosting an 'inspiring' schedule of events for residents to take part in during the week which will run from May 16 to May 22.
Julia Burrows, director of public health for Barnsley, said: “It’s important that we all have the tools to take care of our mental health - especially following the pandemic and the significant impact this has had on our emotional wellbeing.
“I’d encourage people of all ages across Barnsley to take time during creativity and wellbeing week to welcome creative activities into their lives and discover their benefits.
"Being creative is great for mental wellbeing - it helps build relationships, reduce stress, and is also good fun.”
