AN appeal set up to get much-needed provisions to Poland for Ukrainian refugees has urged people to keep donating.
The United for Ukraine appeal was started by Pogmoor man Ryk Matysiak and has now grown into a borough-wide operation of hundreds of volunteers.
The Penistone hub of the appeal, sited at St John's Church, closed this week due to dwindling numbers of donations.
A spokesperson for the appeal said: "Let’s keep pushing for donations please.
"The war is not over, and while we enjoy the sunshine, the Ukrainian people are sheltering under the cloud of smoke and fire from Russian shells.
"Another push for the Amazon, too - we have had some donations already but let's get another big push and help our Ukranian friends."
The group have created an Amazon Wishlist of items needed, available here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/3OM4D2SC061XO... - and more information can be found on the United For Ukraine Facebook page - (2) United for Ukraine | Facebook.
