POLICE officers from the north neighbourhood policing team have been working alongside council wardens to stamp out antisocial behaviour in New Lodge.

Antisocial behaviour surveys were carried out on Thorne Close and Standhill Crescent due to ongoing complaints which range from off-road bikers to criminal damage.

A police spokesperson said: “House-to-house visits were made to local residents and an electronic ASB survey was carried out at the door.

“Residents who were unavailable were left a QR Code in which they could fill in the questionnaire on their own phone at their own leisure.

“All feedback received will then be analysed and then we will work in collaboration with Barnsley Council and Berneslai Homes to identify particular addresses to look at possible enforcement action.

“Targeted patrols will continue to be made to the area.”
