A LOCAL campagin group will meet next week to discuss the 'plight of dog walkers' in the area following development.

The group, Rebuilding Environment And Community in Hoyland (REACH), will meet at the Hoyland Belmont WMC, at 7pm on Monday.

It will include a section on the plight of local dog walkers as well as the ‘severity’ of upset and suffering the masterplans have caused residents.

A spokesperson for the group added: “The anguish, stress and depression that it has caused them is devastating.

“Particularly as there is presently an outbreak of a very serious disease affecting the animals which is not helped by having far less green space access for dog walking routes, leaving dogs much more vulnerable to catching the disease as it spreads much more widely.”
