SOUTH Yorkshire Police has put together a number of security tips for businesses to follow over the New Year period.
Officers have urged people to never leave someone unattended in your office and to always ensure that they sign in upon arrival.
They have also asked that if you do see someone in the office that doesn’t look like they belong there, to check with a colleague.
A spokesperson added: “Make sure that no visitors to your business seeing you setting security codes during the day, especially if they are early or late arrivals to the office.
“If you are the last one to leave in an evening, double check that all the doors and windows and shut and locked.
“Double check any CCTV cameras are working and recording, set intruder alarms.”
