A BARUGH Green pub has been forced to close its kitchen for the next five days due to Covid - but they will remain open for drinks over the festive period.
The Crown and Anchor, on Barugh Lane, confirmed that some members of staff have received positive coronavirus cases over the last few days - and so they’ve been left with no option other than to shut their kitchen.
A spokesperson for the pub said: “We’re really sorry for any inconvenience caused and we want to assure you that we have done everything we can to fulfil the bookings you’ve made.
“If we’ve not already got round to contacting you, we will be very shortly.
“The safety of our employees and customers always comes first and we hope that you can understand our decision.”
The pub will open for drinks on Christmas Eve from 12pm to 12am and on Boxing Day 12pm to 9pm.
