DOUBLE-VACCINATED people who come into contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid will have to carry out daily testing – new guidance shows.
The guidance states that anyone who tests positive, develops symptoms or are unvaccinated should self-isolate for ten days.
Anyone who has had both doses of the coronavirus vaccine will be required to complete daily lateral flow tests.
The move was made in an attempt to reduce disruption to people's every day lives.
If you do receive a positive lateral flow test, you should complete a PCR test as well as self-isolate until the results come back.
If the PCR test is negative, you will be allowed to end your self-isolation period but should continue to take daily lateral flow tests.
