COUNCIL bosses are encouraging residents to take part in a survey about plans to plants thousands of trees in Barnsley over the next two years.
The council have committed to planting 10,000 trees in the borough by 2023, and as part of this they’ll be creating community orchards.
Coun Chris Lamb, cabinet spokesperson for environment and transport, said: “We all have a part to play in protecting our borough for future generations.
“We’d like residents, community groups anyone who lives, works or spends time in the borough to take part in our survey as we work towards a more sustainable Barnsley.”
The survey can be found on the Barnsley Council website and must be completed by the end of the year.
